They were saying that the retail drives were packaged better, well in most circumstances they probably are. I purchased two of these from J&R and when they arrived, one was opened without shrink wrap and the other was shrink wrapped but both of the boxes were smashed and trashed, and it wasn`t from shipping for the outside mailing box was in perfect shape.
